Indian premier league finals on October 15 .It’s big final ,big day for both Chennai super kings and Kolkata knight riders.
Final between 3 times IPL Champion Chennai Super Kings vs 2 times champions Kolkata Knight Riders who will be taking on each other for the last time in the finals in Dubai Stadium on 15th of October.
Chennai Super Kings started they 2021 IPL season brilliantly started with a defeat against Delhi Capitals in their first game and then they Won 5 games continuously . Chennai super kings won 5 of their 7 games in India and were second on the points table list in first phase leg.
In second phase of leg , Chennai super kings continued same form with the likes of Ruthuraj Gaikwad scoring top knocks with brilliant century and he is now second leading runs scorer in IPL 2021.
In bowling Deepak Chahar in powerplay is brilliant and Shardul Thakur is bowling outstanding in middle overs and recently got selected to indian team ahead of Axar Patel due to the brilliant performance.
If Suresh Raina is fully fit ,then he can replace by Uthappa because Raina is a big match player and has lot of experience for being played CSK.
Coming to Kolkata knight riders team ,they played poorly in India i,e in first phase lost 5 of their first 7 games and were placed in bottom of the points table
Then KKR added the Gem of the player Venkatesh Iyer ,who is the hero for Kolkata knight riders team and big pillar for them with both bat and bowl .He can be great future for Indian cricket .
In 9 matches he played so far, he scored 320 runs opening for his side and also picked up 3 wickets and Shubman Gill also scored 427 runs in 16 matches and Rahul Tripathi scored 395 runs in 15 matches . In bowling their mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy has picked 18 wickets so far.
They won the next 5 of their 7 games and qualified for the playoffs being 4th in points table of Indian premier league.
Rusell was seen bowling in sidelines yesterday practicing KKR might tempted him to play ahead of Shakib ,Presence of Rusell gives extra boost to the team with his power hitting capabilities.
