Chennai Super Kings are the second most successful team in the Indian Premier League with four trophies in 14 editions of the tournament. Besides that, CSK have also won the Champions League T20 tournament twice. CSK always believe in backing their players no matter what.
MS Dhoni has been the skipper of the franchise since the inaugural season of the cash rich league.
Here is a list of four batsmen who have batted in only one innings for CSK in the past 14 years:
1) Konda Bhaskar Arun Karthik

The Tamil Nadu based wicket-keeper batsmen debuted for CSK in IPL 2010. Karthik played his first match against Rajasthan Royals in Ahmedabad.
Batting first, RR put a total of 177/8 on the board. While chasing down the target of 178, opener Murali Vijay got off to a good start. But after Vijay got run out, CSK lost the momentum. Arun Kathik came out to bat in the last few overs. He only managed to score three off five deliveries. RR eventually won the game by 17 runs.
2) Chandrasekar Ganapathy

Arun Karthik lost his place in the playing XI after the game against RR. Chandrasekar replaced him in the next match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chepauk.
Batting first, RCB imposed a target of 162 in front of the home team. Murali Vijay let again scored a brilliant 78 run knock off 39 deliveries. Debutant Chandrasekar Ganapathy came out to bat with a few overs left. But CSK chased the target successfully before Chandrasekar could even face a single delivery.
3) Abhinav Mukund

The Tamil Nadu based left hand batsmen debuted against RR in the inaugural season of the IPL at Chepauk.
Batting first, RR imposed a target of 212 in front of the home team. Abhinav Mukund came out to bat at No. 8. But he was dismissed for a golden duck in that game.
RR eventually won the game by 10 runs.
4) Scott Styris

Former Kiwi all-rounder Scott Styris debuted for CSK in the 2011 edition of IPL against KKR. Styris was with Deccan Chargers prior to that.
When Styris came out to bat at No. 6 and got to face only two deliveries in which he managed to score five runs.
Styris was not picked up for the next game against KXIP.
