Rohit Sharma has been recently named as the full-time skipper of team India in 50 over cricket. Rohit was the stand in captain of team India whenever Virat Kohli was absent. He has captained team India in 10 ODIs and 19 T20Is so far. Out of 10 ODI games, Rohit has won in 8 of them.
As a captain, Rohit has won the Asia Cup and the Nidhahas Trophy.
Under his leadership, many youngsters have debuted for Team India.
Here is a list of four players who have debuted under Rohit’s captaincy in ODI cricket:
1) Shreyas Iyer

The 27-year-old debuted under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy in 2017. Shreyas played his first ODI match for team India against Sri Lanka on December 10, 2021. Iyer managed to score nine runs in that game. However, team India lost that game by seven wickets.
Since then, Shreyas has proved his mettle and has become a vital cog for team India in white ball format.
2) Washington Sundar

The Tamil Nadu based cricketer too debuted under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma in the ODI series against Sri Lanka in 2017. Rohit’s famous 208 run knock came in that game in Mohali. Sundar has an experience of only one ODI game since then. Sundar picked up one wicket in that match.
3) Shubman Gill

Shubman came into limelight after winning the U-19 World Cup. He was also named as the player of the tournament. Gill made his debut for Team India in the ODI series against NZ in 2019. Shubman Gill scored nine runs in that game. India lost the match by eight wickets.
4) Khaleel Ahmed

Khaleel debuted in international cricket in the 2018 Asia Cup tournament against Hong Kong. He picked up three wickets in that game conceding only 48 runs. Khaleel performed well in that tournament.
