Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu feels MS Dhoni is the best captain team India have ever had.
Recently in an interview with PTI, Ambati Rayudu has expressed his views on who has been the best captain of team India. Rayudu feels that MS Dhoni is the best captain team India have ever had. He also added how the wicket-keeper batsmen has helped him improve his game. The 36-year-old has been playing for Chennai Super Kings since 2018.
Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement from all formats of the game after he was not selected for the 2019 ODI World Cup. All rounder Vijay Shankar was picked up instead of Ambati Rayudu.
Two years later, Rayudu made himself available for selection.
Ambati Rayudu mentioned that the legendary Indian skipper MS Dhoni has got the best out of him during his time with CSK.
“My stint with CSK has been a very special one. We have won two IPLs till now and played one final. 2018 was a very special season, a comeback season for CSK and us winning the IPL that year made it very special. Dhoni bhai has had the impact of getting the best out of me, not only me but he has an impact on everyone and brings the best performance out of everyone in the team. That is why he is the best captain India has ever had,” Rayudu said in an interview with PTI.
Speaking about the 2022 edition of IPL, Rayudu says he would love to play for the yellow army once again. CSK have retained Moeen Ali, MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad and MS Dhoni ahead of the mega auctions. Rayudu says that he is hopeful to re-join the CSK squad for the next cycle of IPL which will continue for the next three editions.
“I would love to keep playing till I am in good form and fit. I will be ready for the next cycle, which is three years and I am working hard on my fitness,” Rayudu said.
Rayudu looked in good form while playing for Andhra Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021.
