Ambati Rayudu suffers a big injury in the match against KKR

Chennai Super Kings have been off to a very tragic start on IPL 2022 as they suffered a disappointing loss against Kolkata Knight Riders last night in the first match of the season. KKR dominated in every aspect of the match and perhaps the only good thing in CSK ‘s performance was Dwayne Bravo’s display. The 42-years old Caribbean bowler showed that even at this age he has still got it in him and he is still one of the vital cogs in the Chennai Super Kings team. However, as it now stands, Chennai Super Kings has received yet another major blow after last night’s match.

In the second innings of yesterday’s match, CSK’s veteran player Ambati Rayudu grievously injured himself while attempting to make a sliding boundary save near the edge of the boundary line. However in his attempt to do so, Rayudu seriously hurt his knee and was in excruciating pain right there on the field. As a result, he had to be taken off the field and he did not return after that.

When it comes to injuries, Ambati Rayudu has not had a good record throughout his career and lately he has been getting frequent injuries in almost every IPL season. However that might be because he is growing old now. Although CSK have not provided with an update on Rayudu’s injury, fans are very concerned about whether he will be able to play in the upcoming matches as they are already without Moeen Ali, Dwayne Pretorius and Deepak Chahar right now.

Ambati Rayudu was batting well last night. However he suffered an unfortunate dismissal after he was run-out following a mix-up with captain Ravindra Jadeja.
