Andre Russell dances after Pat Cummins’ brilliant finish against MI

Pat Cummins just raised the heat of the Indian Premier League 2022 by his sensational 14-ball half-century against Mumbai Indians which not only won KKR the match with 4 overs to go but also won him the record for the joint-fastest half-century in the Indian Premier League history alongside KL Rahul who scored a similar 14-ball fifty against Delhi Capitals back in 2018 back when he used to play for Punjab Kings.

Mumbai Indians had almost won their much important match against Kolkata Knight Riders and they were the clear favorites until the 15th over when they had picked up 5 wickets. Kolkata still needed 50 runs with 5 overs and 5 wickets in hand and it was a troubling situation but then something happened that changes the fate of the match completely and will be remembered forever in the history of Indian Premier League. Pat Cummins came in and he changed everything in the blink of an eye. He started playing bit shots from the very first ball and he did not mercy any bowler – Jasprit Bumrah, Tymal Mills and especially Daniel Sams all faced the wrath of the all-rounder.

His performance in the over of Daniel Sams was record breaking. Not only did he score 35 runs in a single over but he also ended up scoring a 14-balls half century with which he matches the record of KL Rahul and won the match for KKR with 4 over still to go.

His KKR teammate Andre Russell was particularly excited after Cummins’ knock. He started dancing as Pat won the match for Kolkata and it seems like he has finally got a partner in crime. For all these days, Andre Russell was the lone finisher for KKR but he has finally got a support now in Pat Cummins and thus he now has less pressure on him. Just see how he reacted to Pat’s finish.
