Chennai Super Kings recruits 22 year-old Ireland bowler

Cricket Ireland has officially confirmed that Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings has identified the talent of young Ireland player Josh Little and has recruited him as their latest net bowler ahead of the IPL 2022 campaign. It is indeed very big for Cricket Ireland and the future of the young cricketer Josh Little.

Josh Little is just 19 years old and he has already played 22 ODIs and 34 T20Is for the Ireland international team. It is being said that the Chennai Super Kings officials had Josh under their radars for quite some time now and they really like his potential. This is why they have recruited him.

Cricket Ireland congratulated the young player through their official Twitter handle and officially confirmed the news. “Congrats to Josh Little who is heading off on a development opportunity with the Chennai Super Kings in the early stages of the upcoming IPL. The experience as a net bowler for CSK should be fantastic. #GoWellJosh,” they tweeted.

Any team can pick net bowlers of their choice and the age and nationality or even experience does not matter at all. We have seen Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar being recruited as the net bowler for Team India and Mumbai Indians before and there is no reason why SCK can do that for Josh Little. If the player is able to impress the players and the coaching staff, who knows he might even get a long-term contract from them in the future.
