SRH pacer and emerging star Umran Malik has impressed many with his game in the IPL. The young man debuted last season for SRH itself and proved his ability which made Hyderabad retain him. Malik with his raw pace is making ipl alive. India has been missing this kind of pace in these years. Malik has been seen constantly delivering at near about 150 kmph and even exceeding this limit.
The SRH pacer has been continuously performing well and playing a major role for Hyderabad’s success. His pace has impressed many but there are still some doubts on his accuracy with the ball. He took an impressive 5 wicket haul against Gujrat Titans in the last game they faced on 27th April. Malik has 15 wickets to his name in only 8 matches so far in the season.
Considering his ability to bowl with this raw pace it’s pretty much possible to see him in the blues very soon. Maintaining match Fitness is the biggest challenge to face in the future.
The Australian batsman and former KKR star Chris Lynn has seemed to be impressed with Malik’s performance and exclaimed while having a chat with ESPN Cricinfo, “From the outside looking in, definitely. I will factor the wickets are bouncy here in Australia and you need I suppose that youth and just that guys haven’t played against it. You keep going back to whom you drop because it is such a formidable (bowling) line-up.
I would love to see this guy in the World Cup. He’s going to take the world by the storm if he does get a chance at the international level. It is lucky that I am not a selector for India.
The fact that he’s learning quickly as well is probably (what) impressed me more than anything. He has always got that raw pace, but it is all about that cricket IQ now which is developing every game and he is very, very impressive.”
Chris Lynn is excited to see THIS Indian youngster in 2022 T20 WC
