CSK vs KKR: Possible Playing XI and Winning Prediction

Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings are set to square off against each other in the opening match of IPL 2022 today at the Wankhede Stadium and the stage is set for them to kick off the tournament. Neither of the teams has been able to put on a very good squad this season but that does not mean that they can not contend for the title this season as we all know that squad strength is not all that matters.

In this article, we shall be taking a look at the probable Playing XIs of KKR and CSK in today’s match.

CSK’s Probable Playing XI: Devon Conway, Rituraj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dubey, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Adam Milne, Chris Jordan, Rajvardhan Hangargekar

KKR Probable Playing XI: Venkatesh Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana, Sam Billings (WK), Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Tim Southee, Shivam Mavi, Varun Chakravarthy, Umesh Yadav

Both CSK and KKR will not be playing with their full strength playing XI as KKR are missing Pat Cummins and Aaron Finch from their squad as they are currently with their national side on the tour of Pakistan. CSK on the other hand are without their retained player Moeen Ali who is not able to fly to India due to a Visa problem Dwayne Pretorius recently finished the series against Bangladesh and he will join the team soon.

As we can clearly see, Chennai Super Kings seem to be a much stronger side for this match and thus we predict that they will win the match against KKR quite easily.
