Ever since the Sandpaper gate incident, David Warner has been a changed man. The angry and furious David Warner that we used to see previously on the pitch has long vanished and he has matured a lot since then. In fact, he has turned to comedy instead. His funny reels and videos on Instagram and other social media platforms always entertain his fans and he applies a similar approach on the ground as well – he is always smiling! So when the Pakistani pacers tried to sledge Warner today, he met them with his signature smile and it hilariously confused the bowlers as they did not know what to do next.
Australia and Pakistan are currently squaring off against each other in the first test match of their ongoing 3-match series. Pakistan scored 476 runs (declared) in the first innings which is being met by an equally brilliant response by the Aussie batters. By the stumps on Day 3, Australia has scored 271/2. It is almost sure now that the game will be drawn from hereon.
David Warner himself played very well in Australia’s first innings. He scored 68 off 114 and his 100 runs partnership with Usman Khawaja gave Australia just the start they needed. His partner Usman Khawaja missed his century by just 3 runs. He scored 97 runs in 159 deliveries.
An interesting incident took place while David Warner was batting. Pakistan’s 19-year-old fast bowler Naseem Shah came in to bowl against David Warner and tried to sledge him. However, when he tried a staredown Warner smiled at him instead and Naseem had no other option but to stop staring. It was so funny to watch a 19 year kid trying to sledge David Warner who in his younger days was infamous for brutally sledging his opponents.
Fans loved how Warner smiled at Naseem Shah instead of getting angry and he turned it into a hilarious moment.
