ECB Pulled Out their Main Players From IPL 2nd Phase

The second phase of the 2021 Indian Premier League is just a week away from commencement and an unexpected drama has been given rise by some players of the England Cricket Board. Everything was going perfectly well until yesterday but the fate of the test series between India and England has reportedly changed everything. For the unknown, the test series between India and England which the visitors were leading 1-0 has been postponed indefinitely after BCCI was unable to field a team due to the latest COVID scare. The ECB has proposed the 5th match to be held next year and all this drama has reportedly resulted in the English players pulling out of IPL 2021. However, that is obviously not the official reason that is being stated. Three big players from England who played crucial roles in their respective IPL franchises, namely Chris Woakes of Delhi Capitals, Jonny Bairstow of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Dawid Malan of Punjab Kings have pulled out of the competition. Only Dawid Malan has officially specified his reason for pulling out of the competition. The batsman has said that he wants to spend some time with his family ahead of the T20 World Cup and the busy schedule all together. The respective franchises have already started looking for replacements for these three players and Punjab Kings have even found one. The two times IPL champions have roped in South African batsman Aiden Markram as a replacement for English heavy-hitter Dawid Malan. However, it will be difficult for anyone to replicate Dawid Malan’s performance. The Englishman has been in terrific form lately and he is undoubtedly one of the best batsmen in the shortest format of the game so far. IPL 2021 is restart on 19th September and the other two teams better be quick in their lookout for the replacements.
