The Indian team is going to play against South Africa from 9th June. 5 T20 matches will happen across the country. On June 9th The first T20I will be played at Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi, the second T20I at Barabati Stadium in Orissa on June 12.
But, Sanjay Nayak of the Bhuban area in the Dhenkanal district has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the High Court. The PIL is about that the Barabati Stadium does not have sufficient fire safety measures.
Sanjay Nayak, the man who filed the PIL, has asked the court to consider his request and give order to cancel the match. The petitioner has named the Odisha Government, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA), and 12 others as defendants in his PIL.
On the other hand, Nishikanta Mishra, recently requested a fact sheet from management about the fire safety precautions at the Barabati Stadium. The commission had notified the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) about this situation.
It is final that, on June 10th, both teams will come to Bhubaneswar for the match, but the ticket sale is going happen including online and offline mode from June 1.
