IPL 2022, Hardik Pandya led Gujarat Titans take on Faf’s RCB in the 67 th match of the ongoing IPL season at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai. Gujarat Titans earlier became the first team to qualify for the playoffs. This game is a must win game for RCB to keep their chances alive for playoffs. Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Gujarat got a very good start from Wriddhiman Saha but what caught everyone’s eye was the brilliant catch of Maxwell. The third over of the match, Hazelwood came into the attack and in the third ball to Shubham Gill, bowled a ball on length and just outside off of which Gill tried to play it but the ball took the outside edge. Glenn Maxwell at wide third sleep reacts quickly as he drives to the right and stretches his right hand to take a stunner. The ball sticks nicely and Bangalore got their first breakthrough.
Royal challengers Bangalore would try hard to win the match with a big margin so as to qualify for the playoffs. They would look at bundling GT as early as possible and chase it.
Virat Kohli earlier had left the job of Captaincy and Faf was allotted the role. Though after getting a good start in the season RCB failed to maintain their pace and is now fighting hard for a position in the playoffs.
