Good News for IPL fans: BCCI secretary Jay Shah makes a big revelation about IPL 2022

BCCI honorary secretary Jay Shah has made a big revelation about the upcoming season of Indian Premier League, i,e, IPL 2022 that will make the Indian fans extremely happy.

The BCCI secretary revealed and ascertained today that the IPL 2022 will be held in India for sure. However, whether fans will be allowed to enter the stadiums is a big question mark. However, as fans are being allowed in the ongoing series between India and New Zealand, it can be hoped that they will be allowed in the IPL matches as well.

“15th season of the IPL will take place in India and it will be more exciting with new teams joining. We have a mega auction coming up to see what the new combination looks like” : BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said in his latest statement.

The IPL 2021 too was earlier decided to be held completely in India and half of the season had also been conducted in India. Unfortunately the rise of COVID-19 in India messed things up. The tournament had to be stopped midway and there was a gap of almost 2-3 months. The WTC World Cup and the England test series were played in that break and the IPL resumed in September 2021 but in UAE instead of India. That also led to the T20 World Cup being held in India and was a big upset for the Indians.

However, the news of IPL 2022 being held in India is a big sigh of relief.
