Hardik Pandya gives a quirky reply to Reporter who asked him if he will bowl in IPL 2022

It is not unknown that Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been appointed as the captain of Gujarat Titans. He was drafted by the new franchise for 15 Crore rupees ahead of IPL 2022 and soon after, they announced him as their new captain.

However, a big question ahead of IPL 2022 is whether the all-rounder will be bowling in IPL 2022. We all know that even two years ago, Hardik Pandya was India’s go-to bowler across all the formats. He was a brilliant bowler and his fantastic finishing skills with the bat made him an ideal replacement for MS Dhoni as India’s finisher.

However, he suffered from a big hip injury two years ago which changed his life trajectory completely. The hip injury kept him away from the ground for many months and eben after he made a comeback to cricket, he was not in his usual form.

Pandya has not been able to bowl ever since and moreover, he keeps on suffering from small injuries now and then. Although that can be a still accepted, the fact that an all-rounder is not able to bowl is a big flaw and that is why Mumbai Indians did not retain him in IPL 2022.

However, he is now the captain of Gujarat Titans and he is ready to lead his side in IPL 2022. Ahead of the season, they recently organised a press conference where Hardik Pandya was asked about his bowling. He gave an apt reply to the reporter.

The reporter asked him whether we will see him bowling in IPL 2022. Hardik replied, “Sir Surprise hai woh, Surprise ko surprise rehne do” (translation: Sir it would be a surprise, so let it be a surprise).

However, he has faced widespread backlash from the fans due to this reason as they thought the way in which he replied was too rude.
