Harshal Patel leaves the RCB camp after the unfortunate demise of his sister

In the most unfortunate news of the day, we have come to know that Harshal Patel’s sister has passed away. She was ill from a lot of days and the news of her unfortunate demise has finally reached us. Harshal Patel, who was with the Royal Challengers Bangalore contingent for IPL 2022, has thus left the bio bubble and he has gone to his family to stay with them in this period of grief. It has been said that Harshal Patel had a talk with the management to make arrangements for his departure and he did not take the bus to Mumbai from Pune where they will be playing their match against arch rivals Chennai Super Kings.

“Unfortunately, Harshal had to leave the bio-bubble due to a death in his family. It was his sister. He did not take the team bus back to Mumbai from Pune,” PTI reported quoting an IPL source. “He will be rejoining the bubble before the next game against CSK on April 12,” the source said.

Harshal Patel has been one of the best bowlers of Royal Challengers Bangalore for quite some time now. Last season he was the highest wicket taker in the Indian Premier League and he made a record by picking up 32 wickets in a single season. This season too he has been off to a brilliant start and he has already picked up 6 wickets in 4 matches. He has been key in some of the important matches so far and is one of the best fast bowlers in the RCB squad as of now. His absence in the RCB squad for the next few weeks will this be a major setback for them.

We do not know for sure as to when Harshal Patel will make his return to the squad but the tragedy that his family has met is very unfortunate and thus we should expect that he will take some time to recover from it.
