Ahead of the second and the final test at the Wankhede stadium, Kane Williamson has been ruled out due to an injury.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson will miss the final test at Mumbai due to an injury in the left elbow. Williamson has been dealing with the injury for quite some time now.
The official twitter handle of NZ confirmed the news. The caption read,โ BLACKCAPS captain Kane Williamson will miss the second and final Test against India in Mumbai as he continues to battle the left-elbow injury which has troubled him for much of 2021.โ
In the absence of the Kiwi skipper, Tom Latham will be leading the side for the 2nd test.
According to ESPNcricinfo, three Indian players will miss the second test at Mumbai. Ishant Sharma dislocated his left little finger during the final day of the 1st test at Kanpur.
Left arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja suffered a right forearm injury during the 1st test at Kanpur. After undergoing some scans, it has been observed that the 32-year-old has some swelling in his forearm. The medical team of BCCI has advised him to take some rest.
Vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane suffered a minor left hamstring injury while fielding during the final day of the 1st test. Rahane wasnโt able to recover completely therefore he has been ruled out.

The 2nd test at Mumbai was scheduled to begin from 9:30. But the toss was delayed due to wet outfield as it has been raining in Mumbai for the last couple of days.
The inspection at 10:30 IST gave a final verdict that the toss will be conducted at 11:30 IST and the game will begin from 12 noon.
