ICC has released the dates and venues of it’s upcoming major tournaments and there is bad news for the Indian team and it’s fans. So much so that if any changes are not made accordingly, India might have to miss out on a major tournament in about 5 years’ time. And that might have serious consequences as ICC might punish India or impose a ban on them if they do so and in that case, India will have to miss more than one major ICC tournament which will be a major setback.
So what is it that has shocked the Indian cricket fraternity to the very core? Well actually in the schedule, it has been shown that the 2025 Champions Trophy will take place in Pakistan. And that is a big no no for BCCI as the Indian government has strictly asked all it’s sports and other organisations to not conduct or attend any event that takes place in Pakistan. That is the very reason why we don’t usually see any series taking place between the two nations. The political scenario between the two countries is not so great and we know that. However, if it causes the Indian team to be banned by ICC, the government might have to take a deep thought on the matter.
