Less than a week’s time is left for the much anticipated derby between arch rivals India and Pakistan to be played in the T20 World Cup 2021. The stage is set and the trash talks have already started. The former and current cricketers of both the nations have already started engaging in fierce war of words all over the social media platforms and the fans have started feeling the heat. 24th October will be a jam-packed night and we know it. With everything prepared, in this article we will be discussing the probable playing XI that team India might use against Pakistan.
India’s Probable XI against Pakistan:
- KL Rahul
- Rohit Sharma
- Virat Kohli
- Suryakumar Yadav
- Rishabh Pant
- Shardul Thakur
- Ravindra Jadeja
- Mohammad Shami
- Jasprit Bumrah
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar
- Varun Chakravarthy
There are two controversial selections in the above given list. The first is that of selecting Shardul Thakur over Hardik Pandya. But let’s face it that Hardik Pandya is not in his old form. He was out injured for a long time and we do not know whether he will be able to bowl at his full potential from the very first match. Shardul Thakur is a much more tested alternative. He played extremely well in IPL 2021 and he expected to do the same in the T20 World Cup as well provided he is given the chance.
The second controversial decision for many will be that of choosing Bhuvi over Rahul Chahar. But Ravindra Jadeja is perfectly fine with bowling 4 overs and we do not need 3 spinners in the team. That will be an overkill. Moreover, Bhuvneshwar Kumaris extremely experienced and we could use that to our favour in the T20 World Cup.
