Avid cricket fans will definitely know that although Jofra Archer was ruled out of IPL 2022 almost a year ago owing to his major injury, he was bought by Mumbai Indians for a hefty price of 8 crores. The decision of Mumbai Indians shocked many fans and analysts combined, it was actually a wise decision because with it, MI management banked on the performance and talent of Jofra Archer.
It is not unknown that Jofra Archer, at his best, was one of the best fast bowlers in the entire world currently and thus Mumbai Indians wanted his services from next year.
However, some fans are not a big fan of the decision and a recent incident showed that clearly.
Jofra Archer recently posted a tweet on Twitter which said that he would never buy a dog from UK again. To this a fan commented, ‘MI bought one for 8 crores’ which was clearly a hate comment against the bowler.
To this, Archer gave a fabulous reply. He said, “I hope you get the love you deserve one day”. Fans just loved Archer’s brilliant comment.
After winning the match against Chennai Super Kings in the most emphatic manner, captain Rohit Sharma said, “Looking at how the pitch was playing and to lose wickets upfront, there were tense moments in the middle. It was just about keeping calm and getting the job done. After losing those wickets at the start, we were a little calm and got the job done in the end. We have played a lot of cricket here. On so many occasions, we’ve had pitches like this. It’s nice to get bowlers into the game as well at times. It’s been batting-friendly pitches all over, it was good to see bounce and swing from both sides which was good to watch. We are keeping one eye (on the future). We want to win games and at the same time we try out certain players.”
