Kieron Pollard lashes out at Aakash Chopra after his controversial remarks

Over the years, Aakash Chopra has evolved into one of the most trusted and popular cricket Commentators and analysts of the era and his popularity can be compared to that of maybe Harsha Bhogle. However, it is a well known fact that irrespectively of how famous or how respectable a Cricket Commentator is, he is bound to be subject to a little controversy at some point in his life and Aakash Chopra, for one, has been involved in his fair share of controversies.

Recently however, he got involved in a nasty tussle with a very famous cricketer and it is none other than Mumbai Indians star and West Indies captain Kieron Pollard.

Kieron Pollard is one of the most famous T20 stars in the world and his contribution to the format can be compared to very few others. However, he is now old and there is not much to talk about his current form as he has seen a major dip in that in the last few years, obviously due to his growing age.

In Fact in IPL 2022, Kieron Pollard was involved in Mumbai Indians’ squad for very less instances despite being a part of their retained players list and thus, Aakash Chopra made a comment on his future.

As we all know, Aakash Chopra has a youtube channel and there he said in a video, “I think we have seen the last of Kieron Pollard. He should go and Dewald Brevis should come in. How many chances would you give to Pollard? He has just not been scoring runs. His bowling could be useful on this surface but you wouldn’t pick him in the team for his bowling. So I think the time has come to say tata bye-bye to Pollard.”

This caught the attention of Kieron Pollard and he tweeted, “Hope the fan base and followers increased @cricketaakash … keep it flowing .. #t20. !!.”

Although he soon deleted the tweet, it was screenshotted by some fans.
