Kumar Sangakkara shows trust on THIS player to ‘Bat for his life’

Rajasthan Royals’ head coach Kumar Sangakkara had hilarious talks with his former teammate and presently the bowling coach of Rajasthan Royals. From naming the greatest bowler ever to the superstitions believed in cricket ,the stalwarts of Sri Lankan cricket shared many things in a conversation video shared by Rajasthan Royals official Instagram handle.

When the wicketkeeper batsman was asked whom he would pick to bat for his life, the ex Sri Lankan captain without any doubt chose Rahul Dravid “The Wall” for his unbreachable defence. Dravid is the fourth-highest run-scorer for the Indian team in ODIs with 10,768 runs from 340 ODIs at an average of 39.15.

In Tests, he sits just behind Sachin Tendulkar with 13,625 runs at an average of 52.63 in 163 games. Tendulkar has amassed 15,921 runs under his belt from 200 matches.

Answering Malinga’s question, Kumar Sangakkara said, “Rahul Dravid, he’s unbelievable in that role. ‘The Wall’, there is a reason for that name.” Malinga then was asked about his favorite memory with Sachin Tendulkar. Sangakkara replied, “When I played my first IPL season in 2009 in South Africa, I got the first wicket on my second ball, caught in the slips by Sachin. This is my most memorable moment with the man.”

Talking about Rajasthan, they have been tremendous in this IPL season with 9 wins under their belt. Their win against Chennai Super Kings on Friday fixed their position in the top 2 of the table.
