Former South African pacer Dale Steyn has reacted on the on-field altercation between Jasprit Bumrah and Marco Jansen which took place on Day 3.

During the second session of the ongoing test at Johannesburg, Team India’s pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Marco Jansen were involved in a heated verbal argument during team India’s 2nd innings.

The incident took place in the 54th over when Marco Jansen was looking for the 9th wicket and bowled a couple of bouncers to Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah failed to connect the delivery properly.

After the delivery, Bumrah confronted Marco Jansen and the two exchanged a few words in the pitch. The umpires had to intervene in between and stop the altercation.

Interestingly, the two had shared the dressing room in the 2021 edition of IPL with Mumbai Indians.

Lungi Ngidi removed Jasprit Bumrah in the 57th over as he nicked a delivery which was coincidently caught by Marco Jansen.

Dale Steyn did not like Jasprit Bumrah’s approach and reacted about the same from his official Twitter handle.

“I swear I remember Bumrah doing the same thing to a Mr James Anderson not too long ago. Learn to take it kid,” Dale Steyn replied to a tweet that read: “That look from Marco at Bumrah. Yep, if you dish it out you will receive it.”

In 2021 when team India toured England, Jasprit Bumrah tested James Anderson’s batting skills by bowling bouncers at regular interval on Day 3 of the Lord’s test.

While chasing down the target of 240, South Africa have lost the wicket of Aiden Markram and Keegan Peterson on Day 3. The Proteas have managed to score 118 runs as they required 122 runs more to win the Johannesburg test and level the three match test series.

Team India on the other hand have a lot to do as they require 8 wickets to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
