List of Indian Players Whose Careers ended way too early

The Indian Premier League is considered to be one of the greatest leagues in the world with overseas players showing their keen interest to perform on this stage every year. The 2022 season of the Indian Premier League has been very good for overseas cricketers like Faf du Plessis, David Warner, Quinton de Kock, Liam Livingston and David Miller. Specially David Miller who has shown his killer avatar and won the trophy for Gujarat Titans.

However there are many foreign players whose performances were not up to the mark this year. However, these players who could not perform well this season or do not see a place in their team, might get released next season and they can also go unsold in the next auction.

Kane Williamson- the New Zealand captain has been one of the most consistent performers in t-20s for new zealand as well as Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is also the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad who led the team to the finals in 2018 almost single handedly winning the orange cap too. However,in ipl 2022 he proved to be the weakest link of his team, due to which Hyderabad had to face defeat in many matches.
Rasi van der Dusen: South African batsman van der Dussen played his debut IPL season this year. He only got 3 matches to showcase his talent but only managed to score a total of 22 at an average of 11.0 and a strike rate of 91.67. Rajasthan Royals might release him before the 2023 auction.
Mathew Wade: Matthew Wade went unsold in the first round during the IPL 2022 mega auction but was bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs 2.2 crore in the second round. He was one of the openers for Gujarat Titans in the first few matches after which Wriddhiman Saha replaced him. Though he was again back to number 3 position. He also featured in the final match but then also failed to put an impact. It’s difficult to guess whether Titans would go with or release him in the auction.
Aaron Finch: Aaron Finch went unsold in the auction both in IPL 2021 and IPL 2022. Although Kolkata Knight Riders included him in their team as a replacement for Alex Hales, he only managed to perform in only one match scoring a half century. The rest of the matches he couldn’t really make an impact for the team.
Muhammad Nabi: Afhani allrounder Muhammad Nabi also went unsold in the first round of the auction though later was picked by KKR. Although he didn’t get a chance to feature in the team for a single match as big foreign players like Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Tim Southee, Pat Cummins, Sam Billings and Aaron Finch were already part of this team. It would be difficult for him to get picked by a team in the next IPL auction.
