Breaking News: One of the two newly built IPL franchises Lucknow Giants have signed Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani as the replacement for English fast bowler Mark Wood. Lucknow Super Giants have bought Mark Wood for a whopping price of 7.5 Crores in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction with great hopes but unfortunately, he was ruled out of the season with an unforeseen injury which he picked up during the ongoing Test series between England and West Indies. It was a serious injury and thus Lucknow had no other option but to look for a replacement.
It is now official that LSG has signed Zimbabwe player Blessing Muzarabani as the replacement. Muzarabani impressed everyone with his brilliant performance in the series against Bangladesh in which he gave a stunning performance. Muzarabani has made a big achievement by being signed by LSG as not many Zimbabwean players have played in the Indian Premier League and Blessing Muzarabani will now become one of them.
The interesting thing is that as Mark Wood was set to be one of the main pacers of Lucknow Super Giants this season, it is highly likely that his replacement Muzarabani will also get a lot of opportunities to prove himself and thus he has a great chance of becoming one of the best Zimbabwe players in the history of IPL.
As the entire world looks up to the Indian Premier League, if Blessing pulls off a great performance this season, he will also get interests from other teams of T20 leagues from all around the world and it will be great for his career going forward.
Blessing Muzarabani is just 25 years old and has great potential. A mentor like Gautam Gambhir will put him to great use. He has played 21 T20I matches for Zimbabwe and picked up 25 wickets.
