Most fans must be aware of the news by now that Deepak Chahar has been ruled out for the entire season of IPL 2022. It was earlier being said that Chahar, who had suffered an injury with the national team a few months ago, will be available to play for Chennai Super Kings from the middle of the season and it was a positive update. He was in a recovery session at the National Cricket Academy and he was doing well. Unfortunately though right before he was about to make a comeback, Chahar suffered yet another back injury during practice and thus got ruled out for the entire season.
It was heartbreaking news for the player, CSK management and the CSK fans and is indeed a big blow to the team. Chennai Super Kings have fared pretty poorly in IPL 2022 so far. They have won only one match so far and that too came in their last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. They are clearly missing the presence of Deepak Chahar in their bowling lineup as he used to be one of the vital cogs in it and now that he is not there, CSK are suffering in the bowling department. Deepak Chahar was CSK’s costliest player in the IPL 2022 auction and him being ruled out is definitely horrible news.
Deepak Chahar announced the news through an Instagram post. He wrote, “Sorry guys unfortunately I will be missing out this season of Ipl due to an injury. I Really wanted to play but will come back better and stronger like I have always done. Thanks for always supporting me with your love and wishes. Is need your blessings.”
His sister Malti Chahar has now commented on the post and showed her support for him. She commented: “We all are missing you in this IPL. (red heart emoji)”
