Maxwell’s fiance will not allow him to play in the Pakistan tour ! Here’s Why

Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has revealed that he is unsure whether he will be able to feature in Australia’s upcoming tour of Pakistan which is set to take place around the month of April-March as he will be having his wedding at that time.

It is not unknown that Glenn Maxwell has been dating Vini Raman, a pharmacist of Indian origin, for a very long time now. The couple were set to tie the knot in February this year but it had to be delayed due to COVID-19. After being delayed many times, it is finally going to be held in the month of march, exactly when Australia’s tour of Pakistan will be held.

On being asked the reason for his probable unavailability, Maxwell said, “I think it’s great that we’ve got a tour to go back there. I think I saw it was 1998, the last time we went there,” he told reporters on Tuesday.

“Whether I’m going there or not might probably hinge on my fiance because my wedding is supposed to be on during that time. So I’m probably not quite the right person to ask that question.”

On being asked whether the wedding can be delayed further, Maxwell said: “Not a chance. We’ve already moved it a couple of times, so I think this is it.”

However, Glenn Maxwell’s international form is also questionable. Despite having a great IPL season, Maxwell has been poor with the national side. Speaking on his form, Maxi said, “I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but I’ve got two not outs back-to-back, which is pretty rare in my career,” he laughed.

“It means the top order is going really well if I’m not spending that much time out there.

“I’ve been in a really good headspace, so hopefully (I’m) not required again or hopefully required for another zero not out and just stay at the other end.”
