Mohammad Shami breaks Staggering record in IPL 2022! Check Here

The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League newly debut team Gujarat Titans won their 1st IPL trophy against Rajasthan Royals. They won 10 matches in the group stage. Everyone thought that, by appointing Hardik Pandya as a captain, the team will perform well in the IPL. But they won the title of IPL22. On the other hand, Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has made a weird new record in the history of the Indian Premier League. He didn’t come to bat throughout the season.

He became the first player to have a record like this.

He did perform very well with the ball. Took 20 wickets in 16 games.

Because of GT’s massive batting potential, this record is possible in the first place.

Actually, all the wins came because of  Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya and David Miller’s brilliant performance.

Hardik Pandya scored 487 runs. Gill got 483, and Miller got 481 as well.

David Miller said,”It’s been a phenomenal journey, finishing it at the back end was a special feeling, but it has been a collective effort, everyone has stuck up their hand and performed well. (On Pandya) He’s been very relaxed, we’ve had a very good bond with Ashish (Nehra) and Hardik. He’s got better and better as the competition has gone on, tactically he’s been brilliant. Just grown from strength to strength.”

Mohammed Shami also shared,“We needed to start the tournament well (on the first ball dismissal of KL in the team’s first game), and set up a template for the team. The idea was only to start well for the team, concentrate on the line and length. We (himself and Saha) have known each other well for the last 20 years and have a good understanding as well.”
