MS Dhoni spotted in team India’s training session; pic goes viral

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni has joined team India as a mentor ahead of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in the country of United Arab Emirates. MS Dhoni has joined the men in blue on Sunday ahead of their preparations for the ICC event.

Dhoni who recently led IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings to their 4th trophy in 14 seasons was earlier appointed as the mentor for the Indian team in this mega event. The 40-year-old was appointed for this job considering the success he has had with team India. Dhoni has led India to the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, 2011 ICC ODI World Cup and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. Dhoni has immense experience in his arsenal and will assist Virat Kohli and co for the mega event.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly even announced that MS Dhoni won’t be taking any honorarium from the BCCI for assisting team India during the ICC T20 World Cup in 2021.

The official twitter handle of BCCI released some photos from team India’s camp in UAE where MS Dhoni is seen talking with the boys along with coach Ravi Shastri.

“Extending a very warm welcome to the KING Crown @msdhoni is back with #TeamIndia and in a new role!” the Indian cricket board tweeted.

India will play their opening match against arch rivals Pakistan on 24th October in Dubai. India will then face New Zealand, Afghanistan and two other teams who will qualify from Round 1 in the Super 12 stage.

Before that India will play two warm up matches against England and Australia on 18th and 20th October respectively.
