MS Dhoni’s IPL 2022 Advertisement banned for violating rules

BCCI is often seen doing crazy advertisements for the Indian Premier League and some of these often become viral. Former Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been the centre of many of these advertisements in the last few years and his IPL 2022 ads have been viral as well. However, one of those many advertisements in which MS Dhoni has become a Bus driver has come under controversy due to a very essential reason and this is what we shall discuss in this article.

In the advertisement in concern, we can see that MS Dhoni is working as a driver and conductor of a public bus which has IPL logos all around it. Dhoni stops the bus suddenly in the middle of the road and all the people as surprised. A traffic police person comes to Dhoni and asks him why he has stopped the bus in the middle of the road and he said that it is because Super over is going on. The traffic police person then leaves without saying anything.

Fans have loved the advertisement but now Consumer Unity and Trust Society or ASCII has asked the company to remove the advertisement from public forum as it is misleading. They have asked to either remove it completely from 20th April or change the advertisement.

For the unknown, MS Dhoni is no longer the captain of CSK and he has been replaced by Ravindra Jadeja. Talking about Chennai Super Kings’ performance, they are currently seated at the very bottom of the IPL 2022 leaderboard and have performed very poorly in the season so far.
