MI became the first team to get disqualified for the playoffs in the IPL 2022. After that they gave their bench strength a chance to showcase their skills. Unfortunately Arjun Tendulkar wasn’t tried this time too and he went on to warm the bench the whole season. MI bowling coach Shane Bond has opened up on air about this fact.

Talking to Sportskeeda, MI Bowling Coach Shane Bond said. “He’s got some work to do. When you are playing for a team like Mumbai, it’s like one thing to make the squad, but to make the playing eleven is another. He’s still got a lot of development to do. There is a great deal of work to be done. It is one thing to try everyone out to play, but in the end, when you play at this level, there’s that fine line between giving everyone a game but also you have to earn your spot.”

MI bowling coach made it clear that the left arm pacer needs to prove his spot in the team. It would be interesting to see whether Arjun Tendulkar passes the test and becomes a part of the MI playing 11. Until then the cricketer needs to work on his skills and improve them.
