Mumbai Indians sign Young Indian All-rounder amid Performance crisis

IPL 2022 was not going very well for the five times champion Mumbai Indians. After losing 8 matches in a row, the team management likely to retain their core group of experienced players after spending high amount of money on Ishan Kishan, Tim David, and Jofra Archer.

The team also facing a lot of criticism for their poor performance. They are looking into young talents to develop their core team for the next ipl. Dewald Brevis, Tilak Varma, and Sanjay Yadav were the highly talked of young talents in the auction.

Some players in the team got several chances to prove themselves but failed to do so. Tim got couple of chances but failed at delivering a good performance was straightaway dropped out from the squad. It provides a platform for young players to shine through displaying their potential. The Mumbai squad has also facing problems like injuries and players unavailability.

At first Mills, and then, Arshad Khan also has been ruled out of this season. As per our reports, Kumar Kartikeya Singh will be replacing Arshad khan in this season. It will beneficial for him and also provides a great opportunity to show his skills on a massive platform.

Kumar Kartikeya (born 26 Dec,1997) made his List A debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 26 Sep, 2018. Made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on 28 Nov, 2018. After that, he made his Twenty20 debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 2 March 2019.

The MI squad will be taking on the table-toppers Rajasthan Royals on the 30th of April at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
