Virat Kohli has made it known that he will not be available for the ODI series against South Africa which is set to commence in a few days.
“There is no harm in taking a break but the timing has to be better. This just substantiates speculation about the rift. Neither will be giving up the other form of cricket”: this was what former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin had tweeted when the news went viral and it is turning out to be absolutely true.
The news that there is a rift or a cold tension between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma is the hottest gossip of the hour and everybody is taking turns to discuss and opine about the same. The latest inclusion to that list has been Union Sports minister Anurag Thakur who has always been very closely involved with BCCI.
On being asked about the rift between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Anurag Thakur tried to be diplomatic but his opening statement was a banger in itself. “Sports is supreme and nobody is bigger than sport. I can’t you give information as to what’s going on between which players in what game. It’s the job of concerned federations or associations. It’ll be better if they give info,” he said.
