“Only this opener will make 50”: Aakash Chopra makes fantastic prediction ahead of first Test

The first test between India and South Africa has started and as is visible, India have received quite a brilliant start. The blues won the toss – decided to bat first and now their openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal have given them a big boost with their wonderful partnership. However, as the match proceeds, we are reminded of the prediction that Aakash Chopra made on his youtube channel last night and wonder if it would turn out to be true.

The openers might be playing wonderfully but Aakash Chopra had predicted that only one of the batsmen will score 50+ and that the first test would end in a draw.

“The first thing I feel is that only one opener will score more than 50 runs in the match, maximum one opener. The rest of the openers, however many times they come, will be dismissed cheaply,” Aakash Chopra had said.

He also predicted that with the pace that South Africa possess, we might expect Batsmen giving away catches to the wicketkeeper behind.

“Ten catches will be taken behind the wickets, in the slips or caught behind. That is an easy one that they will go either to the keeper or the slips.”

“I feel that this match will be a draw. I am not expecting a result because there is a huge possibility of rain, although the match might run fast because there has been a lot of rain and the grass on the pitch will be slightly fresh. But rain might cause too many interruptions,” he concluded.
