Pakistani Fans lost their cool while celebrating; 12 People injured in firing!!

The Pakistani fans celebrated with firecrackers after they won against India by 10 wickets in their opening encounter of the ICC T20 World Cup at Abu Dhabi. Fans were seen dancing on the streets till late night. However, firing was also a part of the celebrating in which 12 people were seriously injured.

Pakistan defeated India for the first time in a World Cup match. This is their maiden World Cup win against India in 29 years.

During the celebrations, the people of Pakistan were out of control. They were busy in burning firecrackers and dancing in the open street.

According to Pakistani media Geo News, a total of 12 people were found injured along with a sub-inspector after they suffered injuries from stray bullets. 2 people were shot at and wounded in Karachi’s Orangi Town sector-4 and 4K Chowrangi by bullets coming from unknown directions. A stray bullet hit Sub-Inspector Abdul Ghani during an operation against the people involved in aerial firing in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, said the local police. The incidents were reported in different areas of the metropolis, including Sachal Goth, Orangi Town, New Karachi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and Malir.

After Pakistan’s comfortable win over arch-rivals India, the Pakistani fans took their celebrations forward to the open streets. They celebrated Pakistan’s record-breaking win in style. The fans took their heart out in dancing as they were busy bursting firecrackers. As people were dancing on the streets, the players were appreciated in social media. Former Pakistani cricketer and currently the Prime Minister of the country, Imran Khan and other politicians congratulated the team on social media platforms.

“Congratulations to the Pakistani team, especially Babar Azam, who led the team with full courage and Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi, who performed brilliantly,” Imran Khan had written on Twitter.

Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had also wished the team for their historic win. Spokesperson of the Pakistan Armed Forces wrote on Twitter: “COAS congratulates Pakistan Cricket Team for outstanding performance and comprehensive win against India in ICC T20 World Cup Match.”

“Pakistan Cricket Team has made us all proud.”
