The second semi-final of the Pakistan ODI Cup or the National ODI Cup was recently played at the Multan Cricket stadium between Balochistan and Sindh and it proved to be a very nitty-gritty encounter between the two sides. Balochistan’s Yasir Shah was one of the best performers in the match and he picked up 2 fabulous wickets to win the match for his side. It was a great redemption for Shah, who was deemed unfit for being selected for the Pakistan squad even a few months ago and he completely silenced his haters today by giving this terrific performance.
Not only did Yasir Shah pick up 2 wickets but he also took 3 fabulous catches out of which the one with which he caught and bowled Hasan Mohsin of Sindh, was particularly extraordinary. In the 44th over of the match, Yasir Shah came in to bowl against Sindh’s Hasan Mohsin and completely tricked the batsman into playing the shot directly into his direction after which he caught a fabulous diving catch to dismiss the batsman.
Batting first, Balochistan scored 263 runs before they were all out in the 48th over. In response, Singh got a good start but they were unable to reach the target and Balochistan thus qualified for the finals pretty comfortably.
Balochistan’s captain Yasir Shah had a big role to play in their win and is thus the talk of the town currently. He is currently 35 years old and is still capable enough to get a spot in Pakistan playing XI. However, he will have to prove his worth to the selectors which he is doing by taking an active part in these domestic cricket leagues.
PCB had called Yasir Shah unfit – Now see what he did in Pakistan ODI Cup!
