IPL 2022, K.L Rahul’s LSG is playing the 42nd match of the season against Mayank’s Punjab. PBKS won the toss and chose to bowl first. Inviting LSG to bat first they managed to dismiss KL early. But De Kock and Deepak Hooda built a nice partnership from there.
The South African wicketkeeper batsman Quinton de Kock has been in tremendous form and today also was seen hitting the ball nicely. The left hander batsman scored 46 off 37 with 4 fours and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 124.32.
In the 13 th over of the match, Sandeep Sharma came into the attack but got hit a boundary on the very first ball of the over by de Kock. De Kock again scored a boundary on the 3rd ball of the same over. In the fourth ball Sandeep made a nice comeback and de Kock was caught behind. Though the umpire was shaking his head but de Kock decided to walk off. The bowl was short and outside off, de Kock slashes it but gets a slight edge to the keeper. Both the bowler and the keeper put in a loud appeal but were turned down. But de Kock showed his sportsman spirit and walked off. Sandeep gives a pat on his back as he moves out. Sandeep Sharma got his revenge and also broke the stands that would have worried Punjab.
LSG have been performing well in their debut season and stands on the 4th position in the points table with 5 wins and 3 loses in their 8 games so far and would look for another win today.
