In the most latest news of the day, Rajat Patidar has replaced Luvnith Sisodia in the Royal Challengers Bangalore after Sisodia suffered an injury in one of the practice sessions of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Luvnith will be currently be staying in the RCB bio bubble itself as he will complete his rehab with the team. Rajat Patidar was initially part of the RCB squad in IPL 2021 as well and although he did not get much exposure to the team, he is a valuable addition to the team and it is good that he will not be playing in an environment that he is very aware of.
Rajar Mahohar Patidar is an Indore born cricketer who plays for Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket. He is just 28 years old and has great potential. Seeing his talent, Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him in IPL 2021 but as he failed to impress much, he went unsold in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction and RCB bought Luvnith Sisodia instead. However, after Luvnith’s injury, RCB decided to bring in a known face to their team and thus Rajat Patidar was signed by them immediately.
Rajat will finally get a chance to prove himself this season under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis. Rajat Patidar is also a right-arm off-break bowler besides being a batsman and thus he might prove to be a great asset for Royal Challengers Bangalore. It will now be interesting to see whether captain Faf du Plessis will be able to put some faith on the Indian youngster and is Rajat Patidar will be able to capitalise on thise chances.
