Ravi Shastri names 4 Players who can be the future captains of Team India

Former Team India head coach will be getting back to commentary in IPL 2022. Before taking on the job as India’s head coach, Ravi Shastri used to be one of India’s best English cricket commentators and now that he has left the job, he will get back to commentating. However, this time we will be seeing him as a Hindi commentator.

This is the first time that Ravi Shastri will be commentating in Hindi and he has reportedly started taking Hindi classes as well to work on his commentary. Previously, Ravi Shastri also used to work as a host of the Indian Premier League and he used to be a big part of the tournament when Set Max had the rights to IPL. However, now he has made a return to commentary and he is expected to pursue his career as a commentator and a cricket analyst.

While recently talking about his new role, Ravi Shastri also opened up on some of his ideas and predictions for the Indian national team going on in the future.

Rohit Sharma was recently made the captain of the Indian senior team in all formats and Shastri thinks although it is a good decision, India must start looking for their future captain as Rohit Sharma is already 34 years old and is not getting any younger.

Having said that, Ravi Shastri also gave 4 options about who he thinks can be the future captain of India. Those 4 players are Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya.

Shastri said, “Rohit’s not getting any younger. Neither is Virat (Kohli). They’ll have to look at who might be the captain two years, three years down the line.

“So that’s where I’ll be looking at. I’ll be looking at Rishabh Pant (Delhi Capitals). I’ll be looking at Shreyas Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders). Very closely. Of course KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants), the way he handles that side.”

“And Hardik for the simple reason if that can energise in him a manner that can make him come out and play with gay abandon,” he concluded.
