Ravindra Jadeja praises Virat Kohli’s Captaincy after his last T20 match as India’s skipper

Virat Kohli has now played his final match as the T20 captain of Team India and it was a very emotional moment for the skipper and many players of the squad as well.

This five year journey of T20 captaincy has been a very special ride for Virat Kohli as well as the Indian fans. He might not have won India an ICC trophy in any format, but the moments that the team and the fans lived together in these 4 years, are indeed priceless.

Today’s match between India and Namibia marked Virat Kohli’s 50th T20I match for India and his last as a captain. As expected, India’s performance in the match was phenomenal.

They won by a big margin of 9 wickets. India won the toss and opted to bowl first. It turned out to be the perfect decision as the Indian bowlers wrought havoc in the Namibian batting lineup. None of their batters managed to last long and they could manage a total of 132 only in 20 overs. I

ndia’s Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja picked up 3 wickets each.

Speaking about Virat Kohli’s last match as the T20I captain, Ravindra Jadeja said in the post match conference, “Virat has been a wonderful captain, and I’ve played with him for 10-12 years. He is always positive and aggressive and that’s what you want as a player.

Bharat Arun, Mr. Sridhar, and Shastri bhai were really good to support us, and whoever comes next, we’ll look to continue the momentum.”

Ravindra Jadeja also won the Man of the Match award in tonight’s match.
