Rishabh Pant reveals the reason why India lost in Post Match Presentation

The top guns of World cricket India and South Africa are currently facing each other in a five match t20 series. The first match happened at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on 9th june.

India already faced a big blow as they lost their captain KL Rahul because of an injury.

In this series, Rishabh Pant is going to lead the side.

South Africa won the toss and invited India to bat first. India did quite a good job in the batting as they put up 211 in the scoreboard. Ishan Kishan played exceptionally well. He scored 76 and hit 11 fours and 3 sixes. Shreyas Iyer also did a good job and made a good partnership with ishan kishan as he made 36 in 27 deliveries.

Hardik Pandya smashed 31 in just 13 deliveries and played a brilliant cameo in the end.

But India failed in the bowling department. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel Africa gave away 40+ runs in their respective 4 overs. Hardik Pandya gave 18 runs in just 1 over. As a result South Africa won the match by 7 wickets and chased down this massive target very easily.

33 years old Rassie van der Dussen smashed 75 out of just 46 balls. And David Miller’s destructive innings 64 out 31 deliveries brought the victory in South Africa.

In the post match presentation Captain Rishabh Pant discussed about the failure and admitted their faults.

He said,” We had enough on the board, but I think we were a little off with the execution. But sometimes you have to give credit to the opposition. Miller and RvD batted well. Slower balls were working when we batted, but the wicket got better in the second innings. Mostly we executed our plans (to Miller) but the wicket got better and better. We were very happy with the total but next time we are in a similar situation we will do better.
