During the 2nd T20 match between India and New Zealand at JSCA Stadium in Ranchi, Rishabh Pant was spotted wearing a jersey which had tape on his right chest. All the remaining players were seen wearing their normal limited overs jersey.

The reason behind it has now been revealed. Rishabh Pant wore the jersey of the recently concluded ICC T20 World Cup. The jersey had the logo of the marquee event on the right chest. The 24-year-old tried to hide the logo as an ICC logo is not allowed in a bilateral series. Rest all other players had the logo of the limited overs jersey with the name of the sponsor BYJU’s in it.
The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma have shown a wonderful performance by winning both the matches till now. They have taken a 2-0 lead in the three match T20I series.
Winning the toss, the Indian skipper decided to bowl first. The bowlers did a wonderful job by restricting New Zealand to 153/6 after the completion of 20 overs. Harshal Patel on debut picked up two wickets and conceded only 25 runs in his 4 over spell. Patel replaced Mohammad Siraj who is out of the series due to a finger injury. Rest all the bowlers picked up a wicket each.

The 30-year-old fast bowler got his place in the Indian team after brilliant performances while playing for IPL franchise RCB. Harshal received the purple cap in the latest edition of IPL for picking up 32 wickets in 15 games and equaling Dwayne Bravo’s record of most wickets in a single IPL season.
While chasing down the target of 154, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul got off to a flying start. The duo put up a match winning 117 run partnerships. Both of them scored half centuries as the Men in Blue trashed the Kiwis by 7 wickets with 2.4 overs to spare.
Tim Southee picked up all three wickets and leaked 16 runs in 4 overs. However, Harshal Patel received the man of the match award for his wonderful debut performance.
India and New Zealand will lock horns on 21st November at Eden Gardens in Kolkata to play the final T20I match of the series.
