Stephen Baard and Michael van Lingen took Namibia off to a flying start. The duo managed to put up 33 runs in the board before Jasprit Bumrah came up with the breakthrough. Namibia went from 33/0 to 39/3 quickly. They lost two three wickets in quick succession. Ravindra Jadeja took wickets to put India back in the game.

Virat Kohli brought Rahul Chahar into the attack in the 9th over of the game. Loftie-Eaton took a quick single towards the backward square leg. They went for a two. As soon as the batsmen got to his feet, Pant quickly touched the bat with his hand and tapped his chest with the same palm. Pant’s stunt earned huge respect. It is always very important to respect your trade or art. But sadly no one talked about it in the commentary box.
