But the franchise is facing some tough times as they failed to qualify for two consecutive seasons in recent times. They struggled hard and went through their worst season ever losing the first 8 matches in a row. Mi managed to win only 4 matches this season and they finished last in the points table. They were the first team to be eliminated from the 15th Indian Premier League edition.
Meanwhile the skipper Rohit Sharma and Batsman Suryakumar Yadav came up with a motivation for the next season of The Indian Premier League. Mumbai Indians released the videos of the same through their official social media handles.
The MI stars are quite confident in their team making a strong comeback the next season. Even Suryakumar Yadav went on to confess their likelihood of winning their sixth IPL trophy.
“Mumbai Indians will come back strong with a bang next year in IPL.” said the MI skipper. “We’ve to lift the sixth Trophy anyhow. It is unfortunate that it can’t happen this year. 6th IPL trophy, the trophy will come in 2023.” – Suryakumar Yadav added.
