Sanjay Manjrekar makes a controversial comment on Ashwin again! Fans are angry on him

With the Indian Premier League at its last stage as the final match will be played tomorrow between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals, a former Indian cricketer makes a big controversial statement.

The Final match will take place in The Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. There are many speculations about how the pitch will behave as it is seen that the Ahmedabad pitch is a flat track and the game would be quite challenging for the spinners. With both the teams depending on their spinners to perform, they both hope the pitch would be in the favour of spinners.

But former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar recently in an interview with ESPN Cricinfo said,”Ravichandran Ashwin is a problem for RR on flat tracks as he tries a lot of variations. He bowls fewer off-spinners on such occasions. But when there is a turn, then he becomes a dangerous bowler. RR will benefit if the pitch is favourable for spinners as Chahal and Ashwin will bowl in tandem,”.

Ravi Ashwin in the 15 matches for RR so far have taken some crucial wickets and also played some crucial innings to take the team to victory. There are 11 wickets so far and 185 runs beside Ashwin’s name. It’s been his best season from 2009 when he first debuted.

“Death bowling has been a weakness for RR. Trent Boult is a world-class bowler but they have to use him with the new ball as his record isn’t that great in the death overs. They have backed Prasidh Krishna and he has done decently well this season. Obed McCoy has proved to be a surprise package and they will trust him to deliver,” Manjrekar

The statement was made before the qualifiers 2 of which Ashwin replied by taking the wicket of the top scorer for RCB that is Rajat Patidar. The pitch seemed favourable for pacers as they took a total of 7 wickets with spinners getting only 1. Yuzvendra Chahal remained wicket-less. Still RR managed to win the match and now will be seen playing the final against Gujarat Titans on Sunday.
