Shameful! Star Pakistani player gets accused of aiding in rape and harassing a 14-year old girl

Is there even a single day when Pakistani players can go without being pulled into some sort of controversy? In the most shakening news of the day, veteran Pakistan spinner Yasir Shah aged 35, has allegedly been involved in raping and harassing a 14-year old girl. An FIR has been charged against the cricketer in Islamabad’s Shalimar police station.

In the initial report that came out, the girl had said that a boy named Farhan, who is a close friend of Yasir Shah had raped her at gunpoint, harassed her and shot a video of the shameful act. It was then revealed that the cricketer threatened the girl to keep quiet and not to take the matter to the Police.

“When I approached Yasir on WhatsApp and told him about the incident, he made fun of me and said that he likes underage girls. Yasir Shah said that he was a very influential person and that he knew a high-ranking official […] Yasir Shah and Farhan make videos and rape underage girls,”the girl said on Geo TV.

The victim was allegedly also offered a deal by Yasir Shah in which he offered the girl a flat and 18 years worth of expenses in exchange for her silence, which the girl clearly did not agree with.

What makes the incident worth talking about is that Yasir Shah is one of the most decorated Test cricketers in Pakistan currently. The right arm leg break bowler is an absolute legend for Pakistan in the longest format and has over 235 wickets at the international stage and has represented the nation in 46 test matches and 25 ODIs.
