Sourav Ganguly comes up with a cryptic Tweet: Fans think he’s resigning as BCCI President!

Former team India captain Sourav Ganguly has been the BCCI president for quite some time now. Although his tenure has been controversial and stripped with a lot of serious decisions, it is definite that his tenure has been a success and we know for a fact that he is here to stay.

However, a recent tweet of the pride of Bengal has sparked various Rumours.

“2022 marks the 30th year since the start of my journey with cricket in 1992. Since then, cricket has given me a lot. Most importantly, it has given me the support of all of you. I want to thank every single person who has been a part of the journey, supported me, and helped me reach where I am today. Today, I am planning to start something that I feel will probably help a lot of people. I hope to continue your support as I enter this chapter if my life.”

It is thus being speculated that Ganguly will be joining politics by resigning from his post as he had a dinner with Amit Shah a few days ago.

However, BCCI honorary Secretary Jay Shah has told ANI that Sourav Ganguly has definitely not resigned from his position as the BCCI president. He went on to explain the situation by saying the following:

“We have some exciting times in the form of media rights coming up and my colleagues and I are completely focused on the upcoming opportunity and safeguarding the interest of Indian cricket,” Shah told PTI.

It is thus being expected that Sourav Ganguly and Jay Shah’s tweets are hinting at something special. It is probably an upcoming big event or initiative that the BCCI is planning to take.
