Star Cricketer leaves RR Bio-Bubble suddenly before Qualifier 2

Sanju Samson led Rajasthan Royals have been an ultimate success this season as they managed to be in the second spot of the points table with first being The Gujarat Titans. RR ended the league stage with 18 points from 14 matches winning 9 and losing 5. They featured in the qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans (GT) but suffered a 7-wicket loss.

In the qualifier 1 batting first RR made a huge total of 188 runs setting a target of 189 for GT. But they failed to defend the target and suffered a loss as GT’s David Miller and Hardik Pandya led their team to victory.

But Rajasthan Royals would be getting another chance as they are now going to play against the winner of the eliminator match that is Royal challengers Bangalore on Friday 27th May. RR will reach the finals provided they register a victory in the qualifier 2.

But big news came from the Rajasthan Royals camp as their premier all rounder Daryl Mitchell has left the bio bubble due to calls from his national side. Mitchell is going to play the upcoming Test series against England for New Zealand.

The New Zealander was not a part of the playing 11 in the qualifier 1 match. Though he played a couple of matches this season, he failed to impress with his bat. It was unlikely that he would feature in playing 11 in the qualifier 2 regardless an all rounder gets injured. The Samson-led side might go with Jimmy Neesham if at all needed.
