According to the latest reports, Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Moeen Ali has seriously injured his ankle during one of the training sessions and he is going to miss a number of their upcoming matches due to the same reason. Our sources say that he might miss up to four matches as per the news that he has now. However, if the injury is more serious than it seems right now, Moeen Ali might miss many more matches and this will definitely be a big blow to the Chennai Super Kings contingent as many of their star players are already out injured – the biggest name on this list is undoubtedly Deepak Chahar.
New Zealand player Mitchell Santner will be replacing Moeen Ali for the time being until he returns to the team but as he is not that capable of playing in the third position of their batting lineup, Santner will probably play down the lineup and Ambati Rayudu will have to assume a much more vital role up the batting order. The responsibility of Rayudu and Robin Uthappa will now increase a lot due to the injury of Moeen Ali. However, Moeen has not been able to play as well as he did in the last season and he has not been that great in the IPL 2022 so far and thus it might give CSK a chance to try out something different and it might turn out to be a good decision afterall.
CSK has been unable to register more than 2 wins in the Indian Premier League so far and they will be looking forward to making some positive impact in the tournament with this big change in the playing XI.
