The Indian Premier League is not just the domestic T20 League of India but it is a Global tournament and spectators from all over the world watch it. The IPL is undoubtedly the most famous T20 Leagues in the world and in days to come, it is expected to cross the revenue of even World famous leagues like the NBA, NFL and Premier League. However, so far IPL commentary was done solely in two languages – Hindi and majorly English.
To keep up with the growth of the Indian Premier League across India and the world, Star Sports has decided that from this year onwards, the Indian Premier League will be commentated in more than 8 languages to pull in more spectators. The 8 languages are – English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Telugu and Malayalam.
